Metis is a Titan-goddess in Greek mythology, known for her wisdom and good counsel. During the Titan War, she sided with Zeus and played a crucial role by giving Cronus an elixir that compelled him to regurgitate the five children he had previously swallowed. Metis' reputation as the goddess of wise counsel highlights her significant influence in guiding both gods and mortals. Despite her eventual fate, her role as the mother of Athena remains a significant aspect of Greek mythology.
This piece is completely handmade with lost wax casting method. It’s the process where Hespérides take a hand-carved wax model and turn it into a finished piece in precious metal.
